As a local Guide I try to be as blunt and honest as possible. There have been years i left Chicago and I'd return as a visitor and noticed this particular location remained open for a very long time. Do you want to know why this location is still open? It's because the QUALITY and value of the food hasn't gone down. Everything is still extremely delicious This afternoon I ordered a tuna salad sandwich on a baguette and it was very reasonably priced, the portions were generous and I'm going to save the other half for later. It comes with chips and I didn't have break my piggie bank to treat myself for lunch. The staff is also extremely friendly. I don't understand why people would leave this bakery anything less than 5 or 4 stars. Besides that they also have a pasta, soup and baked goods menu. This place is a great value for your money

This was my first time at Corner Bakery, and it definitely won’t be my last. I stopped in on a hectic day in downtown Chicago, the streets were buzzing, and so was this spot. The place was packed, which is usually a good sign, and I decided to go with my gut and order the Carved Ham & Swiss sandwich along with an Arnold Palmer to drink. Let me just say: what a sandwich. From the first bite, I could tell there was thought behind the ingredients. The pecan wood smoked ham had this deep, subtly sweet flavor with just a hint of smokiness that made it feel hearty and comforting. The Swiss cheese was creamy and mellow, balancing the boldness of the ham without overpowering it. What really stood out to me were the layers of tomato and red onion, the tomato brought a fresh juiciness, while the red onion added just enough bite to wake up your taste buds. And then there’s the stoneground mustard, It had a bold, tangy character with a little grainy texture that gave the sandwich a rustic, gourmet feel. All of this was wrapped in a crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside baguette, which held everything together beautifully and added that satisfying crunch with each bite. Paired with a refreshing Arnold Palmer, it made for a quick but incredibly enjoyable meal in the middle of a bustling city day. Highly recommend it if you're in the area and need something fast, filling, and full of flavor.

A delightful eating experience within walking distance of our hotel. A menu offering chili Mac was “ a find”. And their lemon cake was delectable.

This was perfect for our 2.5 and 9 month old to eat Sunday morning breakfast. Friendly staff, great French Toast and the self serve hazelnut coffee was delicious. The bacon was really good too!

These pictures do not do Corner Bakery justice. The food here is amazing - and so are the staff! I order pickup from here often and have always had a wonderful experience. The employees at this location, especially Carol and everyone on the morning staff on the weekends, are truly exceptional, kind, and hardworking. For online ordering - the ordering process is smooth, pickup is timely. For in person ordering - you can’t go wrong with speaking to the staff members here and asking questions or getting any support you need with your order. And the food? Delicious. I personally really love the tomato soup, it always hits the spot, and their BLT breakfast sandwich is underrated. Next time you’re in the Corner bakery (and especially if you see Carol) - you’re bound to have a great experience and some great food coming your way.

Had court downtown with a little time to kill before it started. Luckily, there was a breakfast spot right across the street. The food was delicious and easy to order — definitely a win!
